Any ideas?

September 16, 2008

Okay this is me right now. Well, since Collin is coming home pretty soon, I want to go all out and get a new hair cut and a new color.

I came to the conclusion that I actually like my current length and decided to just get a trim and maybe a cut that will shape my current length a little better. What do you think? Or should I go shorter again or maybe get layers? As for the colors, I am not so sure yet. I kind of feel like just getting highlights. Preferably blond – or should I go darker? I am so undecided. Maybe you guys have any suggestions. I am open towards anything. :)

Day Trip to Karlovy Vary

September 14, 2008

Yesterday my fellow Army wives and I took a day trip to Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The trip was sponsored by the Army Chaplain and therefore free which was really nice. The drive wasn’t very long. It only took as about two hours to get there. As soon as we arrived, it was time for lunch and we tried to find a restaurant that serves Bohemian/Czech food.

After lunch we just walked around town and explored the little shops and streets. Luckily the sunny weather held up and we were able to enjoy the afternoon without being rained on.

Before the bus took as back, we stopped at a little cafe to have some coffee and cake just like any other European. :) It was kind of funny that all my friends have actually gotten used to the so-called “coffee time” in Europe.

It was really nice to just get out of the house. Soon our husbands will be home and then we can finally go on all those trips with them again. We all can’t wait!!!

Only a few more weeks.

September 10, 2008

Only a few more weeks until Collin is finally coming home. It is September already and the latest news we have received said that the guys will be coming home some time in October. There are no dates yet and I would not post them here anyways. I won’t know when exactly he will be home until I get the call which usually happens about 12 hours before I can pick him up.

There will be so much going in the next few weeks. We will decorate the post for the Homecoming. We will be making banners, posters and so on. It will be so much fun. I am going to ask my mom to bring some old sheets that I can use to make them. I got so excited last night, also because we had a re-deployment meeting that night, that I dreamed about Collin coming home all night. I barely remember any of my dreams but this one I have been thinking about all day. I just can’t wait to have a normal life as husband and wife again. I want to do all the things that normal married couples do. That’s what I miss the most. I mean, I have been living a ’single’ life-style throughout the past 13 months. It will also be a huge adjustment for the both of us but we have been doing so well throughout this deployment that I am pretty sure, we won’t have a hard time adjusting to one another again.

God, I am so excited. Soooooo excited.
